Creeper - Minecraft
Worn:
Anime North 2013 (Toronto, ON)
Quinte Mini Con 2013 (Belleville, ON)
Status: Retired / FOR SALE ($40CDN + shipping)
Why a Creeper?
This was originally to be for a duet with CosplayCanada where he would be an Enderman. Sadly it never happened. I enjoyed doing this though as I started to like the Creepers while watching Let's Play and Achievement Hunter from Rooster Teeth.
This was a fun and easy cosplay to make and wear. I really love it. I can wear it any time of the year because it's a coat with pants and shirt, I can take the coat off for comfortable wear in summer, or have the coat on and wear in the winter.
The coat and pants are made of a light suiting that I had originally bought for Shade-ler last year. It worked great for what I wanted. I modified the Matrix coat pattern from Simplicity (As usual) and painted all the squares on by hand.
The pants are a modified men's pants pattern. Again painting the squares on.
The shirt is made of the same material as much of my Steampunk Earth Faery that I made last year. It's really light and airy so it works great in all weather. It helped me get rid of the excess from the faery.
I use my Rydia wig for the hair. I tie a green ribbon around my neck to make it "pretty". A last minute, day before addition was the Creeper box head. As my friend CosplayCanada, as a means of paying me back, bought me one in the Dealers Room the Friday. So it became a part of the cosplay.
