Why Great Fairy Navi?
This was an original idea with inspiration taken from a few different of the Great Fairies seen through the Legend of Zelda games. As well I love Navi. Navi doesn't get a lot of love or respect given that she says "Hey Listen!" a lot. Personally I don't mind that, since I don't have her say it a lot when playing.
Wig is the one I used for my Reverie Metherlance cosplay in 2012. Switched to a different wig for after AN'15. All new wig from Arda in 2021.
The fabric for the top and part of the skirt I already had luckily!
I drafted the pattern for the top to fit me, and I'm very happy with the result. The top is also fully lined :) The ribbon on the bottom is machine sewn on. The top does up in the back using a bra back. To cover the bra back I made a tulle train to represent Navi's sparkle trail and it secures to the top using snap fasteners.
The skirt is a custom pattern. The side that is hidden by the wrap has a slit to make sitting easier. There are about 15 layers of tulle on the skirt to make the poof.
The wrap is challis and I just hemmed it and did a decorative stitch in it.
