Her Imperious Condescension - Homestuck
Worn:
Anime North 2014 (Toronto, ON)
Otakuthon 2014 (Montreal, QC)
Status: Retired
Why The Condesce?
I love a villain. And this one definitely takes the cake of how evil a villain can be. Interpreting her look was a lot of fun given that in any art of her, everything is blacked out so it left a lot of room for personal interpretation.
This cosplay was amazingly simple to make. I've never made a bodysuit before but OMG!
I made the bodysuit out of 4-way stretch spandex and it's custom fit to my body, with a custom cut specifically for the bra I bought to go with this. The ribbons were pinned on while wearing the suit and then machine sewn. The suit does up in the back with a zipper and the addition of snap fasteners on the straps to help with support.
The sleeves are the same spandex, fit to my arms. The bracers are made of craft foam, and I bought the bracelets. I amde most of the rings out of sculpey and fimo.
The crown/tiara is craft foam with hot glue 3D details & chain. The gem in the middle is hot glued on. The tiara secures into the wig via 2 bobby pins hot glued to the back.
The fin ears are made out of craft foam and the earrings are sculpey & fimo. The fin ears slide over my real ones with bobby pins (they aren't in the pictures from Anime North 2014 due to forgetting them at home).
The wig was a long black curly one I'd bought on ebay that I teased.
The horn are the only thing I didn't make. My friend gracefulAggressor Cosplay made them for me as I didn't know how to do them so I commissioned him. They're made of insulation foam and mounted on a headband.
