Joker - Kuroshitsuji
Worn:
Anime North 2016 (Toronto, ON)
Status: Retired. To be redone
Why Joker?
I loved Joker since the moment I saw him in the manga. I love his character so much that I had to cosplay him. His design is unique and fun and I needed this in my life.
This cosplay I still partly class as a work in progress, but it is in a wearable state.
I used a dress shirt I use for many cosplays.
The vest is made of left over fabric from a previous project. I drafted the pattern based off a few pieces of artwork and hand painted the diamonds. It does up with snap fasteners and buttons are over top where the fasteners are. The collar is made of a soft fabric that I don't recall the name of.
I plan to remake the pants out of a different material. The pants stop just after the knees and the diamonds on the side are painted on by hand.
The bow is a strip of yellow fabric hemmed and just tied around my neck.
I bought my gloves. I hate making gloves.
The shoes were bought at Value Village. I used a similar method to when I made Skull Kid's by using upholstery foam and shaping it to what I needed. I covered the shoes in pleather and secured the cover to the shoe using contact cement. The spats are spandex and custom fitted over the shoes.
I ordered the wig off of ebay with the pink braids already done. I styled the wig myself using got2b glued blasting freeze spray and a hair dryer. The bobby pins were put in after the wig was styled.
I still need to make the coat (restart really) and the two tassles for the vest.
A photoshoot is planned for when the costume is 100% done.
