Pool Party Sona - League of Legends
Worn:
Otakuthon 2015 (Montreal, QC)
YetiCon 2016 (Blue Mountains, ON)
Status: Retired
Why Pool Party?
I did this as a fun thing mostly for photoshooting. As well I just wanted a simple and fun swimsuit cosplay when it would be beach days.
I literally just took a bikini and a Miku wig for this cosplay. I bought the yellow flower hair clips at Ardene.
I made the beach wrap out of princess crepe.
The Etwahl is a kickboard base, with the main pool noodle secured on using sticky backed craft foam and hot glue. The flower shapes were cut from another pool noodle and secured the same way.
The remade Etwahl is 4ft of pink insulation foamboard that I cut and shaped myself. I sealed the foam with Mod Podge and base coated the whole thing with white paint. I painted all of the water and the details first, and then carefully took apart two silk leis to glue the flowers around the edges. For the strings I took thin dowels and cut them all to equal sizes on a scroll saw. I took coloured plastic string and simply tied them onto the pegs -using a tiny dab of hot glue at the end for added security.
