Tyki Mikk - D.Gray-Man Hallow

Anime North 2016 (Toronto, ON)
Otakuthon 2017 (Montreal, QC)
Filming & Shooting November 2020
Status: Active
Why Tyki?
He's a bit of an ass and I seem gravitate towards these types of characters. Tyki's DGM Hallow design was irresistible with how attractive and sexy it is. It's also quite comfortable surprisigly.
Wig was done first. I ordered a simple wavy one off of ebay and all I did was tie it back into a ponytail and I styled the bangs to be messy.
I used my black jeggings with this cosplay to save time and cost. I also used a pair of boots I already had bought years before for normal wear.
I made the coat using linen look fabric in white and drafted the pattern myself. I had to make a facing for the front for the odd collar line in the front. It worked out well. I used a pattern for a sleeve from a pre-made pattern and took it in as needed. It's very strange to wear a coat with only one sleeve let me tell you. The coat closes using hook and eyes similar to those on bras.
The original arm and wristbands were made using fabric left over from a previous project. I plan to remake these for the future as the original ones became horribly stained somehow.
As much of his chest is exposed, I made a grey shirt for underneath the coat to hide binding. I plan to remake this as well as I am not happy with how it turned out.
