As of today I'll be posting some photoshoots that I've done over the years, or casual cosplays that never got worn to a convention or event, and share them here in their own blog posts. These will be a bi-weekly thing, to share with you some old photos that I've never really gotten to share. This may also include some test photos, and photos I've never shared on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. But have been on deviantART and are down in the depths of that account.
First, is the Rider's Lake shoot that I did at my cottage in July of 2010. This was really just the wig and dress for the cosplay and me in a lake. I really just wanted a shoot where I was in a lake, and it seemed like a good idea at the time.

It's that time of year where I have no more projects that I can fit into the last week, and I'm already working on everything for 2019. So, I have a 2018 year in review blog for you all, to see what happened with my year. I won't go into insane amounts of detail here, but I'll cover what I feel I should cover for my year.
I've actually been wanting to write this for quite some time, but wasn't sure previously of how to put it all into words. Now, I'm sure of how I want to put everything into this post. It's true that cosplay has changed my life, in more ways than I expected that it ever would when I started back in 2007.
Bit of a story time for you. Nine years ago, 2009, I had learned about the convention Colossalcon down in the US, and saw photos of someone who had done a swimmable Vaporeon cosplay. And soon discovered others who made swimmable versions of Vaporeon. This motivated me to create my own, but at the time, I had no sewing skills and was still very new to cosplay. Nine years later, I have finally made my Vaporeon cosplay that I so longed to do.
I've heard it many, many times from my friends and random people I don't know that only cosplay girls that have smaller chests have problems cosplaying female characters. And that they have problems cosplaying male characters. But, girls who have a larger bust ALSO have problems with doing certain characters and costumes, each for individual reasons. And, I'm speaking from personal experience here.
Part 2 of my personal evolution blog. It would have been far too long to make this as one post. This covers 2013-2017 for my costumes and my continual growth as a cosplayer.
I had meant to write these blogs more frequently, but that didn't happen. Oops...
Over time people don't always realize just how far they have come when it comes to cosplay - or any hobby really. But it seems especially prominent in cosplay when older work becomes lost in the waves of new. And everyone seems to want to hide what they did when they first started doing cosplay. But it's an evolving hobby and it requires you to learn new things every now and again so that you can continue to grow in this fun and creative (albeit expensive) hobby! *NEW* Mondays I'm going to share with you a pickup for your cosplaying! Just something I think might help if you are maybe down in the dumps :) Here's the very first!
My 9th year attending Otakuthon, and I'm so glad that this year I could also bring my friend Cass to it. I can't wait for next year - I started planning Otakuthon 2018 during Otakuthon 2017.... oops?
I can't believe that this was my 10th year of Anime North! Holy cow! It was so much fun and it ranks as my second best AN now!
